The southwest monsoon (habagat) would continue to bring rain and thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, state weather agency Pagasa said early Friday.

In its 4 a.m. weather advisory, Pagasa said that the southwest monsoon would prevail over Luzon as well as the western section of Visayas.
Pagasa warned that flash floods or landslides could occur in areas experiencing moderate to heavy rains.
Meanwhile, Western Visayas and the rest of the county would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
Pagasa said the western section of Luzon would have light to moderate wind speed, blowing from the southwest to southeast. Coastal waters in the area will be slight to moderate.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving from the southeast to southwest. Coastal waters would be slight to moderate.
